Yandex restores the main functions of Yandex 360 and Direct after damage to data centers and promises a major update of Alice AI

Russian SI services depend on physical data centers: after the damage the main functions are coming back, while some are still unavailable.
According to an official Yandex statement (as relayed by Interfax), the main features of Mail, Disk, Documents, Calendar, Tracker and Telemost in Yandex 360 are working; viewing messages older than 6 months, drafts, scheduled sending and SI meeting summaries are still unavailable. Interfax links the outages to drone attacks on three data centers in Sasovo, Kaluga and Vladimir on October 8-11; iXBT describes the consequences this way: a fire at the facility in Sasovo, several modules failing in Kaluga, damage to a data center near Vladimir. According to Dmitry Masyuk, head of the search services and SI group (as relayed by iXBT), the SI plans are not changing, and a major update of Alice AI will come in the coming weeks.
