A payment service people rely on is still not fully working: recovery is happening in stages.
According to Dmitry Pirogov, head of Yandex's fintech business, access to transfers and payments has been restored for some users: payments by card and sticker work fully, while transfers via the Faster Payments System (SBP) and by bank details are returning gradually, and the service remains unstable. Pirogov explained the slow recovery by saying that, after several data centres were damaged by drone attacks, the infrastructure had to be rebuilt while keeping transaction data replicated across several centres. The president's press secretary Peskov said it is too early to talk about financial losses, the matter is "being discussed in the government", and the company is "urgently taking measures". According to the description in RBC's feed, Yandex has covered cloud customers' costs for the recovery period.
