Meta brings back sharing in Muse: published "artifacts" get new addresses after researchers found links through public DNS

Sharing is back.
Meta's David Singleton wrote on X: "the underlying issue is now fixed, and sharing is back on." According to him, the problem was with the addresses of published Muse artifacts — documents and images inside Muse — and not with the chat-sharing feature itself; artifacts published before the fix now have new addresses. Claroc researchers had earlier reported that the addresses contained the conversation title and ended up in public DNS records; among the pages found were a marketing company's internal revenue report and a small-business owner's loan application. Ars Technica wrote on Tuesday that Meta suspended the feature after the outlet contacted it. The Verge article contains no independent verification of the fix.
