According to The Decoder, citing Bloomberg, OpenAI is discussing raising at least $30 billion at a target pre-money valuation of $1.4 trillion; in March the company raised up to $122 billion at a post-money valuation of $852 billion. The Decoder cites the Financial Times' estimate: annualised revenue of about $50 billion at the end of September and a year-end target of at least $70 billion, mainly from the enterprise business. Growth in total annualised revenue in the third quarter, per CNBC as relayed by the outlet, was 77% and enterprise 107%, and ChatGPT has 1.2 billion weekly users. The outlet explains the gap between $50 and $70 billion by different accounting of partner sales compared with Anthropic.
