Xiaomi humanoid completes a full eight-hour shift at an automotive plant

The test moves beyond a short demonstration of one operation to a full production shift with autonomous error correction.

According to Xiaomi president Lu Weibing, the robot autonomously sorted side panels for the center console, interacted with the production line, and corrected errors as they arose. In March, it spent three hours on a different operation installing self-tapping nuts in the die-casting shop: its success rate for simultaneous installation on both sides was 90.2%, and the operation took 76 seconds, matching the line's fastest cycle. Xiaomi is also testing Xiaomi-Robotics-1 in residential settings, where it performs more than 50 consecutive actions across three rooms for over 30 minutes.
