A mark that can tell what SI created is already on hundreds of billions of Google files.
According to Google's blog, SynthID embeds an invisible mark into SI-generated images, audio, video and text at the moment of creation; to date more than 180 billion images and videos and 240,000 years of audio have been marked. Verification is built into Google Search, the Gemini app and Chrome, and there is a separate SynthID Detector; SynthID Bio for synthetic biology was announced recently.
