Manus, after split with Meta, is seeking $500 million at a $4 billion valuation

Governments are keeping their SI talent within their borders ever more tightly, but money finds it anyway — Manus's value is doubling even without Meta.

In April, Beijing blocked Meta's $2 billion purchase of Manus over export controls and foreign investment rules; early investors helped buy out stakes at roughly the same valuation. Now IDG Capital, Boyu Capital, CATL and existing investors Tencent, HSG and ZhenFund may take part in the round, which would make Manus the most valuable Chinese SI-agent startup. The company is also considering a restructuring ahead of an IPO in Hong Kong.
