Malaysia will gain new computing capacity for local SI services, while the project also increases demand for energy, water, and workforce training.

The investment is planned for 2027–2028 and includes new campuses in Selangor and Negeri Sembilan, expansion of the existing Elmina site, and a future Google Cloud region. Google also plans to add more than 1 GW of clean generation to the national grid and to pay for both the electricity consumed by its facilities and the direct cost of connecting them. By the company's estimate, construction will support an average of more than 37,000 local jobs a year. Additional programs aim to train 800,000 people by 2031 and support water replenishment projects.
