Corporate telephony and SI support providers are combining technologies so agents can not only answer customers but also perform operations in their systems.
According to The Globe and Mail, the all-share deal values Canada's Ada at about C$600 million, or US$430 million, and could close as soon as next week. In 2021, the company was valued at US$1.2 billion. Ada rebuilt its original scripted chatbots around language models and added voice agents; its systems connect to clients' software to update records, bookings, and refunds. The publication's sources estimate annualized revenue at about US$50 million. Dialpad will combine this technology with its contact-center platform and agents for voice and text inquiries.
