Netflix launches AI Discover tab with mood-based recommendations

Instead of endlessly scrolling through the catalog, viewers will be able to describe the evening they want and gradually tune the selection to their tastes.
The new tab's first feature offers themed selections based on mood, preferences, available time, and popularity: for example, "something light," "scare me," or "family movie night." After choosing a theme, users can refine recommendations, mark good ones, and exclude unwanted films. Netflix describes AI Discover as an experimental area where new discovery methods will be tested before being moved into the main interface. Rollout has begun in the US for English-language users on supported TVs and will continue over the coming weeks.
