Demand for servers for SI agents is becoming AMD's main growth engine and offsetting weakness in the gaming and PC markets.

For the third quarter, AMD reported revenue of $13.38 billion, up from $9.25 billion a year earlier and above analyst expectations of $13.09 billion. Adjusted earnings per share were $2.09 against a forecast of $1.95. Data centers accounted for 64% of revenue, up from 47% a year earlier; Lisa Su expects server revenue to double in 2027 and growth in the SI business to accelerate. The fourth-quarter forecast is about $17 billion, compared with average expectations of $16.2 billion. The client and gaming chip segment shrank 8% to $3.7 billion, while gaming revenue fell 40%. AMD shares rose 8% in extended trading.
