Duckbill opens an API for SI agents to hand difficult errands to people

While agents remain unreliable at real-world errands, a human in the loop is becoming a standalone infrastructure service that can be connected through an API.

Duckbill launched an API through which developers of personal SI agents can assign people tasks where software fails more often: phone negotiations, booking services and actions requiring everyday judgment. The service breaks an errand into small operations and distributes them among independent contractors; the company says they are screened in advance. Marissa Mayer's Dazzle AI and Wajo AI use a similar hybrid approach: the model finds options and manages the main task, while a person steps in when there is a contradiction or a real-world action. Meta confirmed to CNBC that it currently does not use people to complete users' Muse requests. This arrangement increases the importance of transparency for users and protection of personal data available to the worker.
