Evo 2 designs regulatory DNA from a few dozen examples

A genomic model can turn examples into new biological designs that are already being tested in living cells.
The preprint authors show that the genomic model can design regulatory sequences without additional training. After strengthening the method with reinforcement learning, they tested constructs in three human cell lines and in the mouse cortex: the designed sequences selectively activated genes in the target neurons.
