Anthropic turns out to be the largest buyer of SpaceX computing: it accounts for more than a third of the company's quarterly revenue.

A week earlier SpaceX stated in a filing that about 34.5% of its quarterly revenue came from a single customer, labeled "Customer B," a buyer of computing capacity from its SI unit. Bloomberg, citing a person familiar with the matter, writes that this is Anthropic, which has overtaken the US government in purchases from SpaceX; Anthropic declined to comment, and SpaceX did not respond to Bloomberg. As The Next Web relays, Anthropic rents capacity in SpaceX's data centers in Memphis, Tennessee. According to the documents for its IPO, contracts running to 2029 allow it to spend up to $120.5 billion, about $3.1 billion a month from December, and after the start of 2027 Anthropic can terminate them with 90 days' notice.
