Smart glasses with SI have pushed South Korea to toughen the punishment for cheating on its main entrance exam.

The education ministry said it will seek criminal prosecution for cheating on the CSAT college entrance exam with SI glasses — on a charge of obstructing official duties by fraudulent means — and is seeking to extend the ban from the exam from one year to three. The ministry will recommend that universities apply the same rules to their own entrance exams, where cases of such cheating were recently detected. At the November 19 exam, one inspector will be assigned to each test site to check for SI glasses.
