SI and data centers are becoming a theme of campaign advertising in the US midterm elections.

According to a Tech Oversight Project report that The Hill received first, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) mentions Republican candidates' past support for data center tax incentives, as well as investments and contributions from developers of those facilities, in 31 of its 69 "redboxes," documents laying out potential messaging in key races. Tech Oversight Project executive director Sacha Haworth said: "For the first time, the balance of power in Congress will be determined by how voters feel about Big Tech and SI." The Hill writes that Americans are increasingly wary of the rapid build-out of data centers.
