Hyphenate raises $45 million for SI agents that run accounting and finance operations

SI agents are moving from assisting an accountant to running repetitive finance processes on their own.
The Series A was led by Nexus Venture Partners; the company has raised $54 million in total. The platform plugs into ERP systems and, using a client's historical data, handles orders and payments, treasury, the general ledger, procurement and reporting. According to the company, self-learning agents take over 90% of routine finance work, revenue grew 86-fold in 12 months and the customer count 11-fold (clients include Groupon, Synthesia and HiBid). The founders are former finance transformation leaders at Microsoft.
