Apple's SI assistant expands from one language to six, with ten promised by the end of the year.

On October 26 Apple released the 27.2 updates for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS and visionOS; in them, Siri AI — "a completely reimagined version of Siri" — becomes available in French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish (in addition to English). By the end of the year Apple promises to add Traditional Chinese, Norwegian, Turkish and Vietnamese. According to Apple, the feature works on devices with Apple Intelligence and helps with email and with editing and sending photos, and answers questions about what is on the screen; it is in beta, is unavailable to users under 13 and in the EU (iOS, iPadOS, watchOS). According to Ars Technica, the update lets users limit which apps Siri accesses directly.
