Telecom carriers are becoming part of SI infrastructure: the data needs wide links between data centers.
Verizon announced an agreement with Amazon Web Services worth more than $2 billion: the carrier will provide high-capacity network links and help add compute capacity across many sites for generative and agentic SI.
