Former nuclear sites could give data centers ready-made grids and water, but for now it is only an assessment of feasibility.

According to Bloomberg, the German energy company PreussenElektra said it is working with Nvidia to assess whether sites of closed nuclear plants could be turned into data centers, without giving details. According to iXBT, citing Tom's Hardware, the agreement dates from October 21; the idea is to reuse power grids, water supply and engineering infrastructure, not to restart reactors; specific sites, the amount and a plan have not yet been named.
