SI-generated images, bots and voter-outreach apps have become an ordinary tool of election campaigns, and participants on both sides use them.
According to Vedomosti, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu posted on X an SI-generated image of a nuclear explosion over a city resembling Tel Aviv, together with a quote from publicist Yuval Blumberg saying that if Iran obtains nuclear weapons, nothing else matters. According to Al Jazeera, both camps are spreading SI videos on X during the campaign: Netanyahu's supporters, videos featuring opposition leader Eisenkot; Finance Minister Smotrich, a video depicting violence against Supreme Court justices. Citing Haaretz, Al Jazeera writes that dozens of bots originally created to target the Iranian government were switched to supporting Netanyahu and Likud, and that Likud, by the same account, plans an app called Victory 26 to track voters who have not voted; privacy advocates are concerned. The parties' responses to these reports were not found in the sources checked.
