A pharma company itself led the round in an SI drug developer.
Pathos, a company developing drugs with SI, announced on Friday a $237 million Series E round; it was led by Bristol Myers Squibb, and the valuation is about $3 billion. Pathos is expanding from oncology into neurological diseases: new datasets from Tempus AI and a partnership with BMS that will first address Alzheimer's treatment. As STAT describes it, its own model Foundry runs thousands of agents that estimate the probability of success of clinical programs from clinical and genomic data, specimens and competitors; the results help decide which drugs to pursue, in which groups of patients to test them and how to design trials.
