Swedish agencies are closing public chatbots on work computers and keeping the approved Copilot: the reason is information security.

According to Sveriges Radio (the Ekot program), from next Monday, October 26, ChatGPT and Claude will stop opening on staff work computers at the Government Offices; the same blocks, per Ekot, have been introduced at the tax agency Skatteverket and at the state agency SiS (Statens institutionsstyrelse), while at the enforcement authority Kronofogden the question is still being prepared for a decision. The Government Offices' digitalization director Mikael Wettercrantz said that using unapproved SI services could have "consequences for our information security". Staff are being directed to approved tools, above all Microsoft Copilot: after a review the Government Offices raised its security, and details are not disclosed.
