Russian Orthodox Church Synod tasks its Synodal Commission on Bioethics and High Technologies with developing the church's position on SI

The church is starting to work out an official view on SI, but the position itself does not exist yet.
The minutes of the Synod meeting, published on the Moscow Patriarchate's website, show that the commission has been designated the church body responsible for developing a position on superintelligence and other high technologies, with the results then submitted to the church leadership (The Insider; RIA Novosti also reported the instruction — from the page description). The commission will also represent the church in contacts on the subject with relevant state bodies, representatives of science and business, and public organizations, and may involve other church bodies; in connection with its new powers it has been renamed the Synodal Commission on Bioethics and High Technologies.
