Training robots and self-driving machines on synthetic data is getting easier: the blueprints are already ready.

Cosmos Data Factory offers five cloud blueprints: data preparation for self-driving cars, variations in object appearance, synthetic videos of rare and dangerous events, images of defects (printed circuit boards, metal, glass), and changing weather and lighting in existing footage; they are available via GitHub, Microsoft Azure, Nebius and CoreWeave. At GTC Berlin Nvidia also added fine-tuning, distillation, quantization and deployment tools for the open models GR00T, Alpamayo, Qwen, Pi0.5 and compatible Hugging Face models. According to Nvidia, the platform ranks in the top five on six open-model leaderboards; Porsche, together with Voxel51, expects to cut repeat test drives by up to 90% and development time by up to 85%.
