Ai2 releases OlmoEarth v1.3: ready-made satellite embeddings for the whole planet at 10 m resolution and a browser tool for maps with no sign-in and no GPU

Maps from satellite imagery can be built right in a browser — without graphics cards or huge downloads.
OlmoEarth v1.3 turns a year of radar (Sentinel-1) and multispectral (Sentinel-2, Landsat) imagery into compact vector representations — "embeddings." Ai2 is publishing precomputed annual embeddings for the entire Earth (10 m, 64 and 128 dimensions) and the OlmoEarth Embeddings Explorer, where maps can be built and customized in a browser without registration or special knowledge. Until now the main route — fine-tuning the model in OlmoEarth Studio for each task — required GPUs and downloading imagery. The embeddings suit tracking change over time and finding similar places.
