Etsy bans the sale of SI-generated recipes, patterns and instructions and requires sellers to show the real item

A handmade-goods marketplace is removing instructions written by SI because buyers make the item themselves and an error costs them effort.
In a blog post Etsy said it no longer allows "functional guides" created with SI — sewing and knitting patterns, cooking recipes and other instructions usually sold as digital downloads. Sellers must show the actual item made from the instructions, not a result created or simulated by SI; listings created by bots without human involvement are also banned. The company explains the steps by saying SI is eroding trust: according to it, many active buyers cannot tell which items involve SI-generated content, and this is one of the top three barriers to shopping more often (CNBC).
