A humanoid robot for factories and warehouses gets a single computing and safety platform from Nvidia ahead of its market launch.
According to an Agility press release, Digit 5 moves to onboard computing on NVIDIA IGX Thor modules, and Nvidia will become the exclusive supplier of onboard computing for the version of the robot going on general sale. The decision builds on the previously announced collaboration on the NVIDIA Halos safety platform for physical SI. Nvidia vice president Deepu Talla: for commercial scale, computing and safety must be designed together. Agility is preparing Digit 5 for broader deployment in factories and warehouses.
