Unitree founder Wang Xingxing: the company is developing a "self-improving" system in which humanoid robots write code, run simulations and improve their own performance

One of the largest humanoid makers has named an automated self-improvement loop as its goal, but without results so far.
Citing the South China Morning Post, Rossiyskaya Gazeta writes that Wang Xingxing presented the project at a physical SI conference and called it the company's most important initiative this year: the end goal is an automated loop that, in his words, could exponentially speed up the development of robot algorithms. He expects that as models improve, SI will take over most planning and debugging, and forecasts that in 2027–2028 androids will be able to tidy rooms on a voice command. These are the founder's plans and forecasts.
