Nvidia is adding a software layer for operating huge clusters on top of its hardware.
According to Nvidia's description (GTC Berlin), Minerva combines telemetry from GPUs, networks, storage, schedulers and workloads, analyzes billions of data points per hour, by its account, finds anomalies, predicts failures and groups related alerts into one incident with a stated cause; it includes an assistant with natural-language queries. The goals are fewer job interruptions, faster incident resolution and less alert noise. IBM, Lambda, Tesla and others have said they plan to deploy it; Dell, Lenovo and Supermicro will offer the platform.
