Debates over military uses of SI continue inside companies, but the company's decision on its contracts has not changed.

According to The Intercept, Liguori worked at DeepMind from 2023 on SI for routing power in the electrical grid; she says she cannot work at a company whose technology, in her view, makes it easier to escalate hostilities, and cites Google's contracts with the US and Israeli authorities, including Project Nimbus. A Google spokesperson, according to The Intercept, said the company works with public-sector organizations around the world and follows a consistent process for reviewing such contracts, including compliance with its acceptable use policy and AI Principles.
