Claude now has an "always-on" assistant that comes to you with tasks; Meta, OpenAI and Anthropic each have such an agent.

Anthropic announced Claude Duet as a "research preview": every morning the agent sends a short brief on connected apps, during the day it messages you only when something needs attention, takes on tasks from scheduling meetings to dashboards, financial forecasts and web apps, and, according to Anthropic, asks for confirmation before acting on the user's behalf. It runs on Opus 5.5 and is available as iOS and Android apps and through the Claude web app. According to Engadget, for now there is a waitlist for US subscribers; after launch, Pro subscribers ($20 a month) will get Duet, while OpenAI's Dots starts at $100 a month; Duet does not see passwords and sign-in tokens directly, and access to health and financial data requires explicit permission. According to CNBC, Anthropic describes Duet as a product for small businesses and professionals; Meta's Muse and OpenAI's Dots came out earlier.
