Armies keep moving toward uncrewed machines, but this statement so far shows only plans.

According to Interfax, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, in an interview with the TV channel Zvezda, answering a question about the Tsentr-2026 exercises, said such units should appear and that this is what "we have just tested at a range." In his words, an unmanned tank "is controlled, aimed, fires and hits enemy positions the same way as if a crew were inside the vehicle"; cover combat vehicles and a large number of ground robotic systems for evacuating the wounded, laying mines, clearing mines and reconnaissance are also appearing. Yevkurov acknowledged that the robots do not act as fast as personnel but, in his assessment, are effective in terms of preserving fighters' lives and health.
