Fortune reports that SpaceX's quarterly revenue was $14.6 billion (up 161% year on year) and operating income was $2.79 billion, against an operating loss of $143 million in the second quarter. The SI business, now called Super Intelligence, brought in about $7.5 billion, against $2.56 billion a quarter earlier and the $6.47 billion analysts expected; according to TechCrunch, the unit's profit was $431 million. It includes Grok, the recently acquired developer tool Cursor and "neocloud" data centers with 1.7 GW of capacity; according to Fortune, part of the capacity is leased by Anthropic and Google. Capital expenditure for the quarter was $19.6 billion. According to TechCrunch's retelling, Musk said that deploying superintelligence is limited more by power, cooling and infrastructure than by chips.
