Startup Daytona, which is building a "cloud for SI agents," raises $60 million at a $1 billion valuation

SI agents are getting their own infrastructure: separate clouds where they start up almost instantly.

The Series B round was led by FirstMark; total funding raised is about $91 million. Daytona gives agents isolated virtual machines: according to the company, a new sandbox is set up in 60 milliseconds, whereas conventional clouds take from 30 seconds to minutes. The company names Anthropic, OpenAI, Nvidia, Meta and Cohere among its customers; Snorkel has created more than a million sandboxes on the platform. Annualized revenue grew 25-fold from January to September. The growth and customer figures are the company's own, from Fortune's exclusive.
