Cloudflare cut the cost of an SI code review run from $2.43 to $0.77, mostly through caching and model choice

Good caching and the right model choice can make SI code review three times cheaper.

According to Cloudflare, the cost of one review fell 68%, and median time went from 4 min 9 s to 1 min 32 s. The cache hit rate on the first request rose from 14-26% to 91-99.5% after the system prompts were restructured; the rest came from routing: Claude Opus 5.5 coordinates, Claude Sonnet 5.5 reviews, and the effort level is matched to the review's complexity. The number of important findings per review, the company says, did not fall (0.28 to 0.30), but the samples are small (35-66 findings per group), and some reviewers at medium effort lost findings.
