SemiAnalysis: Nvidia shut out smaller GPU clouds that added AMD and Google chips from GTC Berlin

Prepared by Sintelligent with the help of SI. Published in SI: . Updated: .

If the report is true, Nvidia is pressuring small providers not to buy rival chips.

The research firm SemiAnalysis reported that it had confirmed that several small cloud providers ("neoclouds") were refused admission to the GTC Berlin conference (October 20-22) because they offer AMD Instinct accelerators and Google TPUs alongside Nvidia's. No companies are named; according to SemiAnalysis, this does not apply to the large cloud providers, which have more purchasing power. Some neocloud executives, according to this information, are considering offering competitors' chips quietly. Nvidia has not commented publicly; Nvidia's position was not found in the sources checked.
