Nearly all schoolchildren use SI, but few know how to check its answers.

According to an HSE University study retold by Vedomosti, 79% of surveyed schoolchildren in grades 6-11 and 87% of high schoolers use SI; 60% of users turn to neural networks at least weekly, and about 80% have run into errors. In the experiment, only 21% of participants showed a high level of recognizing texts created by a neural network. The survey was conducted in June 2026 in Moscow, the Moscow region and Kamchatka Krai (603 schoolchildren, 15 interviews with students and seven with teachers). HSE recommends that schools draw up rules for using SI and teach critical evaluation of answers from the lower grades.
