By one study's estimate, part of the text in Russian media is already written by neural networks, but the estimate is approximate.

According to an independent study by Kirill Pshinnik, co-founder of the online university Zerocoder (reported to CNews), the share of articles with pronounced signs of neural-network generation rose from under 0.1% before ChatGPT to 18% in Q2 2026; intermediate values are 0.88% (Q4 2023), 5.7% (Q4 2024) and 14% (Q4 2025). The study covered 254.61 thousand articles from 174 Russian outlets from 2020 through the first half of 2026 and used two open detectors. The author treats values through the end of 2022 (0-0.08%) as the false-positive level; a detector's score does not prove authorship of any particular text.
