Science labs in the US can get OpenAI's specialized biology model for free if they pass the selection.

According to the OpenAI feed description (the page is closed to reading), the company has introduced the Rosalind Academic Plan: eligible academic labs get sponsored access to GPT-Rosalind and tools for life-sciences research. In Unite.AI's retelling, up to 30 free ChatGPT Business Standard seats for up to 12 months are available to labs at US universities, and access to GPT-Rosalind depends on approval through a "trusted access" process; lab heads at universities without an enterprise agreement with OpenAI apply themselves, others through their university. GPT-Rosalind is described as a specialized model for life sciences, and Rosalind Workbench as a workspace in research preview for chemistry, genomics and help with lab work.
