The president asked two large Russian SI companies to think about tracking goods in online retail with SI.
According to RBC (as relayed by news.mail.ru; the RBC article itself is closed), at the Business Russia forum-congress President Vladimir Putin called the development of big-data and SI systems a competitive advantage of Russia and told Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov: "With SI one can, in fact, trace every pack of buckwheat… Talk to Yandex and to Sber. Perhaps they can set this work up accordingly." Putin called it a "joint step forward."
