Korea is opening factories to trials of humanoid robots alongside people.

According to Seoul Economic Daily, at the sixth meeting of the regulatory sandbox committee on October 13, Korea's Ministry of Trade and Industry eased safety requirements written for stationary industrial robots and granted a demonstration exemption to Robros, a developer of bipedal humanoids. Under the pilot, 20 SI-powered humanoids will work at Nepes, Sungwoo Hitech, HD Hyundai Samho and Delivery Lab: in spaces near people and together with them they recognize their surroundings and pick up and carry objects, from cleaning semiconductor-production parts to stacking car body parts and shipbuilding materials.
