Bank analysts expect that by 2030 the best SI models will surpass humans, while weaker versions will run on any phone.
As relayed by Interfax, Deutsche Bank's research institute forecasts in a report that by 2030 the best SI models will acquire the qualities of "superintelligence" that surpasses humans in all areas. Report author Adrian Cox compares working with such a model to assembling the best experts for any business task and writes that equivalents of today's frontier models will become available almost everywhere and will run on any phone, tablet or laptop. Such superintelligence, according to the report, "will mark a break in order, not an acceleration of what already exists": it will set tasks itself, and cost will be an ever smaller constraint.
