Google DeepMind to give up to 200 European scientists access to its models and $3 million in compute credits

Prepared by Sintelligent with the help of SI. Published in SI: . Updated: .

Scientists in Europe will be able to use Google's strongest scientific SI tools even if their labs have no powerful computers.

According to Google's blog, researchers will get access to frontier models and the tools AlphaFold 3, WeatherNext, AlphaGenome, AlphaEvolve and AlphaEarth Foundations. The program supports RAISE, Europe's initiative for SI in science and is meant to narrow the compute gap European scientists face. Focus areas include extreme-weather prediction and mapping molecular structures.
