Epic Games releases a "vibe coded" new launcher in preview, with Linux support

A major game company is shipping its main app written almost entirely by SI — a test of how reliable such code is.
Vibe coding means having SI write a program from a description of the task. According to Epic's blog, the new client is "way faster and more responsive" than the current one, has a new look and runs on Linux; it is still in preview. On Monday CEO Tim Sweeney announced a "huge pivot": developers are being reassigned for maximum acceleration with SI; the goal, he said, is not to do the same with fewer people but to build more and better, including for Unreal users.
