Deezer to add a switch that hides SI-made music from search and recommendations; SI already accounts for over half of daily uploads

Listeners will be able to decide for themselves whether they want music made by SI, and its share of uploads is already more than half.
According to Deezer, as reported by TechCrunch, SI-generated tracks made up 10% of daily uploads in January 2025 and more than 50% in July 2026, about 90,000 tracks a day. The filter will arrive before the end of 2026 and will remove SI music from search, albums and recommendations; SI tracks are identified by a tool introduced in 2025. In a 2025 Deezer survey, about 45% of users wanted SI music removed from their feed. CEO Alexis Lanternier calls it a response to demand. Other services act differently: Bandcamp banned SI tracks, Tidal cut payouts, Spotify uses labels.
