Your phone will read suspicious conversations for you and warn you about scammers, if you allow it.

The new setting is opt-in and will arrive in the coming weeks: cloud Gemini models assess the other party's intentions in a conversation with an unknown sender. Google explains that scammers hide their motives behind long conversations; data is encrypted and processed in a secure isolated environment, Private AI Compute. Gemini Nano on the device will also check links in messages. The feature supports Pixel 10 and newer, Samsung Galaxy S26, Z Flip and Fold 8, and a number of other devices. Screen-sharing protection is promised this month and call-forwarding protection in early December.
