Anthropic is strengthening data protection for enterprise SI agents.
According to Constellation Research and, per the feed description, The Information, Anthropic agreed to a license and the hiring of part of the team of Opaque Systems, a five-year-old startup whose software protects confidential data when SI agents work with it, using hardware isolation; the company has worked with Nvidia, Intel, Microsoft and Google. Opaque previously raised $24 million in a Series B round at a $300 million valuation. Constellation Research assesses the deal as linked to Anthropic's interest in enterprise customers who need on-premises deployments and "sovereign SI".
