The largest bank is for now not letting other people's SI agents act inside it: only vetted ones will get access.
On the third-quarter earnings call, the bank's chief Jamie Dimon said: "We are building tools to protect customers and will not allow unvetted outside agents into our internal systems due to security risks." As relayed by PYMNTS, the bank itself uses SI agents internally, and chief financial officer Jeremy Barnum noted that SI spending is spread across business units and delivers a noticeable effect in software development and operations. Among the risks Dimon named were uncontrolled agents, misuse of data and unclear liability; the bank is developing protection for customers against credential sharing and unauthorized screen scraping.
