Quadruped robots are learning to act without outside help, but for now this is visible only in a video from the developer.

According to a video from the Chinese company China Kestrel Defense on Weibo (as relayed by Gizmodo in Rossiyskaya Gazeta), the robot gets out of the vehicle by adjusting its leg positions and assessing its surroundings itself; previously it needed help from soldiers. The company is developing robots for group operation ("packs"), where each performs its own function.
